Ever heard of Castle Fusano? That’s where we are building the first phase of Basecamp Rome. Nestled between Rome and Ostia. Clean up the premises, help secure tiny houses on wheels, and more. Live in nature; somewhere in 2027.

Our eco-resort in Mafia Island, Tanzania, is almost done. Demand is high, so we are reaching full capacity for our renovated rooms. Help finish the remaining apartments so extra guests can arrive. May and June 2027 during the low season.

Artist in residence first project

Basecamp’s first Artist in Residence kicked off in Pula, Sardinia. This project brought together design and construction artists to live and create art in an inspiring environment.
We love to re-use existing resources, and create beautiful & useful art with it.

Where we started
At Basecamping Pula in Sardinia, we inherited five old mobile homes from the former campsite. Simply throwing them away is not the Basecamp way. Instead, we invited artists to give them a second life, transforming them into unique pieces of sleepable art.
Where we are today
The mobile homes have now been completely transformed. Each artist has created a unique holiday home with its own identity, combining art, design, reuse and functionality.
What was once outdated accommodation has become a collection of one-of-a-kind places to stay, giving existing materials a new life and creating a completely new experience for our guests.
