SUSTAINABILITY & SELF-SUFFICIENCY
Basecamp develops a network of eco-resorts in some of the world’s most distinctive natural settings with a long-term mindset. We create places that are designed to function as independently as possible, working with what the land offers. Not as a statement, but because it leads to stronger, more resilient resorts over time. What is not there on day one is built over time. Energy systems, landscapes and spaces evolve step by step. We build, improve and expand continuously. Not for a quick exit, but for long-term value and operation.
.
PASSION DRIVEN; PURPOSE FOCUSED
Basecamp is built by people who take ownership. Entrepreneurship and initiative drive every project. From transforming existing locations to developing new ones, we work with people who want to create something that lasts. We actively work with local communities, partners and makers. Using local materials, local knowledge and local craftsmanship is a natural part of how we build. Every location is different because every place and every community is different. Hospitality plays a central role. Guests are welcomed personally, not processed. The atmosphere is informal, open and human. People remember how they felt, not just where they stayed.
UNIQUE GUEST EXPERIENCE & DESIGN
No Basecamp Eco-Resort is the same. Each location is shaped by its surroundings, with architecture and design tailored to the landscape. The focus is always on creating a strong atmosphere and a place where people immediately connect. Outdoor living is central. Beach, forest, jungle or coastline. The environment defines the experience. Inside, the spaces offer comfort, calm and quality. Well-designed, warm and grounded. The combination creates a natural rhythm between outside and inside. A place where people don’t just stay, but truly experience.
ALWAYS EVOLVING
Basecamp Eco-Resorts are never finished. Each location continues to grow over time. New spaces are added, nature develops, and ideas are tested and improved. A food forest takes years to mature. Energy systems are expanded step by step. New concepts are introduced continuously. This constant evolution keeps every resort alive, relevant and inspiring. This ongoing development is part of our living lab approach, where each resort is continuously improved in practice.
VISION
To create beautiful places where people come together, recharge and gain new energy. With the right people, beautiful places create meaningful experiences.
AMBITION
Basecamp Eco-Resorts is building a long-term portfolio of distinctive locations worldwide. Each resort is rooted in its environment, but connected through a shared approach:
- Design-driven,
- Experience-focused,
- Built for the long term – We are not building for exit – We are building a platform that grows stronger over time.
A NEW STANDARD IN MODERN HOSPITALITY
We focus on creating places that simply feel right. Better flow, better atmosphere, better use of space. Places where people naturally want to spend time.
DESIGN-DRIVEN LOCATIONS
Every resort is designed or rebuilt with attention to detail. No templates, no repetition. Each location has its own identity, shaped by landscape, materials and culture.
EXPERIENCE FIRST
Basecamp Eco-Resorts are built around experience. Guests come for more than a stay. They come to move, explore, connect and recharge. Retreats, events, outdoor activities and shared moments are part of every location.
HOSPITALITY WITH A PERSONAL TOUCH
Basecamp Eco-Resorts are run by people, not systems. Guests are welcomed in a personal and informal way. No scripted hospitality, but genuine interaction. This creates a relaxed atmosphere where people quickly feel at home.
CONNECTED TO PLACE
Every resort is built in relation to its surroundings. Local materials, local partners and local culture are part of the foundation. Each location reflects where it is, not where it could be. We work closely with local partners for activities, events and experiences. From guides to makers, from food to culture. This keeps every resort grounded and connected.
BUILT TO GROW
Our resorts evolve over time. New elements are added, nature develops, and the experience keeps improving. This creates places people return to again and again.
LIVING LAB
Every Basecamp Eco-Resort is a living lab. We continuously test and improve how we build, operate and experience our locations. From design and construction to energy systems, food production and guest experience. Not everything is perfect from day one. That is exactly the point. We build, learn and improve over time.
The goal is simple.
Create places that become better every year.
Places where people want to stay, work and return to.
