Basecamp Amsterdam has become popular among travellers seeking proximity to museums and nightlife but wanting to escape the busy downtown.
It’s an ideal spot to retreat into our peaceful surroundings and enjoy a drink in our lobby.
The Lobby
Enjoy individually designed Tiny Houses, some with their own wood-fired hot tub, or a stay in the Wellness Barn’s private sauna and bathtub. Start the day with the breakfast buffet at The Lobby, and end it there too, with a glass from a wine list that runs from Sicily to Burgundy. Reserve an hour in the floating Barrel Sauna, or sink into a beach bed at La Plage. Free Wi-Fi, bike rental and a front desk that’s always close by.
Adventures
Cycle into the city for the museums, canals and nightlife of Amsterdam, or stay close and stroll thought de Tuinen van West, a combination of old and new landscapes, of romance and rough edges, of art/culture, (urban) agriculture and healthy products, hospitality, nature, and sports/recreation.
Events
A unique event location in the gardens of Amsterdam West. Surrounded by nature, our venue is ideal for everything from small meetings to large events, accommodating up to 250 guests. Make your program truly unforgettable with an overnight stay in one of our tiny houses. Our event managers are ready to create a tailor-made program based on your needs and business goals.

Relax in luxury and completely unwind in The Village, a wellness Garden, with a range of spaces to restore your balance: the floating Barrel Sauna, city beach, and a refreshing lakeside shower.
Into the city
Basecamp Amsterdam is beautifully positioned at the edge of the city, making it easy for you to explore! You can rent a bike from reception and enjoy a leisurely ride past Vondelpark and Museumplein in just twenty minutes, or take a quick cab ride to Dam Square in about ten. The charming canals, vibrant galleries, and lively nightlife are all nearby, so feel free to come and go as your mood guides you.

Arriving at Schiphol Airport?
Take the train to Amsterdam Centraal or Sloterdijk (10–15 min), then bus 21 towards Geuzenveld to Tom Schreursweg.
Coming by car?
Follow the A4 or A10 towards Amsterdam and take the exit for Osdorp/Sloterdijk. Set your GPS to Tom Schreursweg 40, 1067 MC Amsterdam. Free on-site parking available.
Arriving at Amsterdam Central Station?
Hop on bus 21 (towards Geuzenveld) straight to Tom Schreursweg, right by the resort (~20–25 min).

At Basecamp Amsterdam, everything focuses on sustainability and experience. Here are some questions we regularly answer for guests to help make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Yes – a minimum stay of two nights applies at Basecamp Amsterdam.
One-night stays open up 10 days upon arrival date.
Want to book a one-night stay earlier? Contact the front office to see if your requests can be honoured.
At Basecamp Amsterdam, children have plenty of space to play and explore. They can jump on the trampoline, swing in the playground, and head to the games room for board games, a round of Mario Kart or a game of table tennis.
For guests with disabilities, Basecamp Amsterdam can certainly be a good option, although some accommodations are more accessible than others.
As accessibility varies per house, we recommend getting in touch before booking so we can help find the option that suits your needs best.
Dogs are welcome at Basecamp Amsterdam. Most cottages allow one dog for a €25 fee per stay, and dogs are also welcome in The Lobby.
Please keep dogs on a leash at all times and do not leave them alone in your Tiny House.
Yes, Basecamp Amsterdam is easy to reach by public transport. From Amsterdam Central Station, you can take Bus 21 towards Geuzenveld and get off at J.M. den Uylenstraat, followed by a 15 to 20 minute walk to the resort.
For specific routes and schedules to your stay, check local public transport websites like 9292.nl or use the 9292 app for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
Basecamp Amsterdam is lovely year-round, but the best time to visit depends on the kind of stay you are looking for.
In spring and summer, the resort feels especially vibrant, with long days and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the green surroundings and outdoor spaces.
In autumn and winter, it offers a quieter and more cosy atmosphere, making it a great choice for a peaceful getaway close to the city.
Parking at Basecamp Amsterdam is free of charge. You will find our own parking lot on the right-hand side of the entrance. For larger events, guests are kindly asked to use the parking area on Joris van den Berghweg.
There is also parking available near The Village at Nico Broekhuysenweg if you booked a house over there.
Yes, you can charge your electric car at Basecamp Amsterdam. There are four charging points at the main parking area.
Unfortunately, there are no charging points at Nico Broekhuysenweg yet.
The site is car-free. You can’t get to your Tiny House by car. The parking lot borders the site directly.
To make loading and unloading easier, we have several luggage trolleys at the entrance.
Getting around Basecamp Amsterdam is easy, and renting a bike is one of the best ways to explore the area.
Bikes are available for rent at the resort for €14.50 per day, making it simple to discover both the green surroundings and the city at your own pace.
If you prefer public transport, you can also travel by bus or train, with convenient connections nearby that make it easy to reach Amsterdam, Haarlem and the surrounding area.
