We provide high-speed Wi-Fi up to 30 Mbps, compatible with 5G-enabled devices. At present, coverage is available throughout most of the property, including public areas such as the restaurant, reception, and beach bar, as well as all Superior rooms. 

We are currently extending coverage to Standard rooms and other remaining areas to ensure seamless connectivity throughout the property. Initial tests have already been conducted, and improvements are ongoing. We are confident that by the next season, all areas with limited or no connectivity will be fully covered.

Please note that we do not have dedicated work desks in the rooms. However, each room is equipped with chairs and a table, as described under the respective room categories. These can be comfortably used for light work or personal use during your stay.

We have a standby generator in place. It operates automatically and typically takes about one minute to switch on during a power outage.

At the moment, we do not have official meeting rooms or dedicated call booths.

However, our spacious lounge and restaurant areas can be comfortably used for working, informal meetings, such as group discussions on activity planning or sharing feedback about the day’s experiences.

Tea and coffee are included in every guest’s stay.

For guests staying in Superior rooms, these are provided in the room, as outlined in the room description. For Standard rooms, tea and coffee are available at the restaurant throughout the day and night.

However, please note that speciality beverages such as cappuccino and espresso are available upon request and are charged separately. 

Yes, vegetarian and vegan options are available. Our menu offers 4 meal options, including vegetarian/vegan dishes.

In addition, our kitchen team takes special care to ensure that all dietary requirements are followed with great attention to detail.

At the moment, we do not have a dedicated coworking space.

However, our spacious restaurant is excellent for work, with all meals served. You can also order food from our beach bar, directly on the ocean. An amazing spot to work.

 Yes, there is a community at Basecamp Mafia Island. Guests often become part of a friendly, welcoming environment where travellers, divers, nomads and nature enthusiasts from around the world interact and share experiences. 

The atmosphere at Mafia Island is generally relaxed and communal, encouraging social connection through shared activities such as diving, excursions, meals, and evening gatherings. This creates a natural sense of community among guests during their stay.

There are several enjoyable activities available in the evenings to ensure guests are well entertained during their stay at Basecamp Mafia Island. 

To begin with, we offer sunset activities at affordable prices, where guests can relax and enjoy the beautiful ocean views as the sun sets.

In addition, guests can take a short evening walk to the nearby village, giving them an opportunity to experience the local community and learn about the way of life on Mafia Island. 

For those who prefer more active relaxation, evening beach jogging is possible, as well as swimming in our beautiful pool.  

Guests may also enjoy playing pool for a more casual indoor activity. 

During weekends, we often host DJ sessions as part of our happy hour at the beach bar, running from Friday to Sunday between 16:00 and 18:00. During this time, local beers and soft drinks are offered on a “buy one get one free” promotion.

In addition, we occasionally provide evening entertainment, such as traditional dance performances, live bands, and local gospel choir performances, depending on guest presence and availability. We strive to create a warm, engaging atmosphere with a variety of experiences for our guests.

Local transportation on Mafia Island includes taxis, tuk-tuks, and motorbikes.

Motorbikes can be rented and used freely around the island. Guests are generally able to ride without any issues or interference from local authorities, regardless of nationality.

Yes, it is safe to walk around as a solo traveller on Mafia Island.

The island is a peaceful and liberal destination that relies heavily on tourism, and visitors are a common and normal part of daily life. The local community is known for being very welcoming, respectful, and hospitable.

As a result, incidents involving visitors are nonexistent, and solo travellers can move around comfortably and safely. We always encourage general travel awareness, as with any destination, but overall, a guest can feel secure exploring the area independently.
