We are now looking for a talented Controller to help our finance department by generating insight and financial control over our development activities.

Role Overview

As a Business Controller Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial efficiency and transparency across our project development initiatives of new Basecamp locations. You will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and optimizing financial reports, as well as providing guidance to local teams to ensure adherence to Basecamps’ financial standards.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting and cashflow planning group activities

• Monthly reporting of Dutch (group) development activities
• Monitor and report Cashflow planning on group level
• Overview and monitor administrator of selected BV’s (Exact Online)
• Implementation/improvement management reporting (Statler)

Financial Planning & Analysis:

• Make budget and forecasting of Basecamp Development company and Group activities
• Oversee budgets and forecasts for project development activities.
• Monitor and analyze project costs, timelines, and financial outcomes.
• Provide actionable insights to management to optimize performance; initiate Deep dives / analyses

International Reporting Support:

• Assist startup teams, with developing a financial model for the destination
• Collaborate with local offices to establish and streamline reporting processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial data from international
• First contact person for developing companies in foreign countries, concerning
  • Financial project planning
  • Budget requests

Stakeholder Communication:

• Report directly to senior management on project performance and financial risks.
• Liaise with project managers and external stakeholders to ensure financial alignment.

Location & Work Environment

Your home base will be Basecamp Ijmuiden and Basecamp Amsterdam but flexibility is part of our culture. You’ll have the option to work from home and occasionally travel to our resorts worldwide to support our efforts in new locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in a financial controller or business controller role, preferably in project development or the hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost management, cashflow management and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in financial software Exact Online and MS Excel
