Where and when are dogs welcome on the beach of IJmuiden?
There is nothing better than getting a breath of fresh air and enjoying a long walk on the beach with your four-legged friend! Basecamp IJmuiden is located less than 100m from the beach of IJmuiden (Between zones 1 & 2) and right next to the Zuid-Kennemerland nature reserve. So plenty of walking!
There are a number of rules on the beach to ensure that everyone can enjoy it. The schedule below shows where and when dogs are welcome, and whether or not they are allowed off leash. For the zones, look at the map below or at the signs at the entrance to the beach.
