Basecamp is on a mission to become a worldwide network of Eco-resorts. Currently, Basecamp operates seven locations globally. In the Netherlands, Basecamp IJmuiden and Basecamp Amsterdam are already operational in the name of Basecamp, while the locations in Sardinia and Tanzania await transformation into a true Basecamp Oasis. Basecamp Bali is in development. With plans to expand to 20 sites worldwide, Basecamp relentlessly explores new destinations.
THE NETHERLANDS
IJMUIDEN
Status: Opened in 2019
IJmuiden, often called Amsterdam Beach, is Basecamp’s first eco-resort where guests can enjoy one of the 33 unique Tiny Houses. Basecamp embraces new forms of recreation, where holidays, remote working, and inspiring meetings can go hand in hand. We developed the resort as self-sufficient as possible and welcome guests to join us in activities including our own food production, ecosystem restoration, and testing new sustainability solutions. This makes Basecamp a popular and almost year-round fully booked eco-resort.

AMSTERDAM
Status: Already in operation by Basecamp. The current resort, The Unbound, is in development to become Basecamp branded soon.
In a green oasis, built with sustainable materials, this resort is a paradise in the heart of the city of Amsterdam. The location currently still known as The Unbound Amsterdam has been opened in 2020 and has taken under the wings of Basecamp Eco-resorts since September 2023. With 41 tiny houses, inspirational meeting and event spaces and luxury wellness facilities this resort is an unique place to celebrate your holiday, work or organize inspirational events.

SARDINIË, ITALIË
PULA
Status: In development into a fully-fledged Basecamp location. Tiny houses for sale to investors at the end of 2024.
A former campsite on the coast near Pula will be completely converted to Basecamp Eco-resorts style. Pula itself is a colorful town with a vibrant nightlife, shops and an archaeological treasure. At the eco-resort, a creative mix of Tiny Houses on wheels will be combined with experimental accommodations. A paradise for inspiration and creativity. With a swimming pool, pool bar, and restaurant, there is something for everyone, making it a perfect place to stay for a longer period of time.
SARDINIA, ITALY
SANT' ANTIOCO

The site in Sant’ Antioco (currently known as ‘Camping Tonnara’) has direct access to the sea and a beautiful sandy beach with rock formations and natural pools. Also known as ‘Little Sardinia’, Sant’ Antioco is a peninsula located on the Southwest coast of Sardinia. The peninsula is connected to the mainland by bridge. Crystal clear sea water, the most pristine beaches and ruins dating back to pre-Roman times. This makes Sant’Antioco a hidden gem undiscovered by mass tourism. With a restaurant, beach bar, swimming pool and enough to explore around such as the nearby islands, beautiful caves and gorgeous secluded beaches, this location has it all to become the perfect Basecamp location!
TANZANIA
MAFIA ISLAND
Status: In renovation. Tiny houses for sale in 2024.
Mafia Island, known as the ‘unspoiled sister of Zanzibar’ is already a favourite destination for divers and nature lovers. Basecamp bought the leading resort on the island, located on the most beautiful bounty beach within the protected marine nature reserve. The renovations will start in 2023 and we expect to open the resort in 2024. The investment possibilities will be announced soon.
Tanzania
DAR ES SALAAM
Status: In renovation, opening expected in 2024.
Paradise beaches, tropical weather, a similar time zone to Europe, and Tanzania’s safe, stable and friendly nature make it the perfect destination for holiday lovers and investors alike. Basecamp Tanzania is situated directly at the beach, with villas in the lush forest overlooking the breathtaking ocean, at a mere hour’s drive from Dar Es Salaam. We have started renovating the resort to the highest quality and sustainable standards, adding Wellness, Spa, and Yoga facilities, an infinity pool, co-working spaces, and the famous Basecamp design. We expect to open in 2024.
BALI
UBUD
Status: In development.
We are immensely grateful to have found such a piece of paradise. 10 Hectares of unspoiled nature, next to Ubud, the most inspiring place in Bali. With views over Bali’s famous Mount Batur volcano on one side, and green jungle views on the other side. This land belongs to the Royal Family of Ubud, and they are inspired by Basecamp’s way of creating a place where hospitality and nature conservation go hand in hand. That is why they gave us the unique opportunity to develop this into Basecamp’s next dream location. We are now investigating the paperwork for all necessary permits.
