FAQBASECAMP AMSTERDAM

You can find Basecamp Amsterdam in the Gardens of Amsterdam West on the Tom Schreursweg 40. From Amsterdam Central Station, it is a 20-minute drive by car or taxi to Basecamp Amsterdam. Prefer to take your bike out for a ride? This will take you about 30 minutes from Central Station and about 20 minutes from the city centre. If you want to take public transport, take Bus 21 to Geuzenveld, get off at the Aalbersestraat stop, and walk about 15 minutes to Basecamp Amsterdam.  

For specific routes and schedules, check local public transport websites like 9292.nl or use the 9292 app for the most accurate and up-to-date information. 

On the right side of the entrance of Basecamp Amsterdam you will find our own parking lot with free parking. Is it full? There is another large public parking lot behind our Boardwalk Suites on the Joris van den Berghweg, also free. From there you walk directly into our garden.

Located alongside our Boardwalk suites on the ‘Joris van den Berghweg’ you will find many spots to park your bike. If you are staying on The Village you are welcome to park next to your cabin. 

Parking is free for our guests.

Are you planning to come to Basecamp Amsterdam with multiple cars? Of course, that’s possible! The more people, the more joy.

Our regular check-in time is 3 pm. Arriving earlier? It is always possible to drop off your bags or suitcase at the Front Desk or to have a seat in our lobby while you wait. 

Do you want to get the most out of your stay and move into your cabin ontime? You can check in at 2 pm for an extra €25,-.

Please note; Early check-in is available upon request and depends on current availability. 

You can check out until 11:00 AM, but feel free to grab a cup of coffee in the lobby afterward. Enjoy a relaxing moment before you head off!

Don’t feel like getting up early? For an extra €25,- you can check out until 12 pm.

All cabins are equipped with bed linen, and both a small and a large bath towel per guest.

Not all cabins are equipped with a fully equipped kitchen. Find an overview of the available facilities on the detail page of each house to check whether it suits your culinary wishes. On our search & book page there are also filter options available to select the cabins with “cooking facilities” and a “dishwasher”.

No, none of our cabins have a TV. The area around Basecamp Amsterdam is a nature film in itself! However, every Tiny House has a good WI-FI connection, so you could stream from your own screen.

Yes, there is free WIFI available accross the entire resort.

Staying with us for over 4 nights? We’ll handle a mini-refresh for you, including fresh towels and garbage pickup. If you’re with us for more than 7 nights, get ready for a full cleaning service to keep things sparkling! Need a bit more tidying up? We’re happy to arrange extra cleaning for an additional charge, depending on the house.  

Yes, we offer a laundry service at 9,5 euros per load. 

Looking to explore the area on two wheels? We rent out bikes for just €14.50 per day. Get in touch of come by at the front desk for reservations. 

We serve breakfast daily in The Lobby from 08:00 to 11:00, where you can also enjoy a local lunch and drinks and snacks throughout the day.

Please note that payments can only be made by debit or credit card.

Although we don’t have a gym on site, there is plenty of outdoor space to stay active. In our garden you will find a peaceful Meditation Circle and a Yoga Pit, perfect for a personal workout or meditation. Furthermore, the beautiful Gardens of West are ideal for an early morning run or a relaxing walk.

In addition, you will receive a discount on the rental of padel courts via Basecamp through our partnership with PadelDam! In addition to a court, you can rent rackets and 3 balls for €5. Simply ask at the reception for more details and get ready to play! 

Yes, Basecamp Amsterdam is kid-friendly! We have a playground located next to The Lobby, where children can have fun and play safely. 

In need of groceries? Visit Lidl, the nearest store for all your essentials, located at Aalbersestraat 273, 1067 MD Amsterdam.

Missing your loyal friend? Make Basecamp Amsterdam the ultimate dog-friendly getaway! For just €25 per stay, you can bring your furry friend along to one of our dog-friendly cabins, complete with a cozy dog ??bed. Find your favorite Tiny House that allows dogs by searching our website with the “dog” filter checked. Don’t forget to add the dog fee when booking by adding the “Pet Fee” under extras.

Please note: Maximum of 1 dog per cabin. We love dogs, but cats, hamsters or other pets are not allowed.

Our cabins aren’t quite ready for a dog party! You can bring a maximum of one dog per holiday home.

Yes, we provide dog beds, so your furry friend won’t need to bring their own cozy spot for lounging. We have a comfy bed ready for them, all included in the dog fee. 

Yes, some cabins are pet-free. Search for a pet-free stay on our website or feel free to contact our reception. We are happy to help you with a pet-free stay!

As a dog lover, it is hard to imagine, but not everyone is as fond of dogs as you are. We therefore ask you to take other guests into account and adhere to the following:

• Always keep your dog on a leash at the resort
• Do not leave your dog alone in your Tiny House
• Bring a maximum of one dog per Tiny House
• A dog surcharge of €25 per dog per stay applies (depending on the location)

Smoking is only allowed outside the accommodation. Please remember to clean up your litter so we can keep the resort clean!

Looking for comfort for your little ones? We also offer baby beds for 5.00 euro per stay. High chairs are available for free, if available.   

Unfortunatelly, Basecamp Amsterdam does not have any adapted facilities available for people with disabilities and is not fully wheelchair accessible. However, we do have a wheelchair accessible toilet available for meetings and events.

Unfortunately, barbecues are not allowed due to the fire hazard posed by the wooden terraces and wood chips.

If your package is addressed to Basecamp Amsterdam, it will be delivered to our reception. To help our reception team identify it, please include the first and last name of the main booker on the package. 

Please note that ordering is at your own risk, and the resort is not responsible for any issues related to the package. 

All payments must be made in advance. You can pay online using a credit card or via iDEAL. Please note, we operate as a cashless park. 

 For credit card payments, verification by the card owner is required before the payment can be processed. Once you initiate the payment, you will receive a verification request via email from our booking system. Simply click “Verify,” and you’re all set! 

A flexible rate allows you to cancel your booking up to 48 hours in advance without any charge. 

A non-refundable discount gives you 10% or more off your booking. Just keep in mind that if you cancel, you won’t get any of the money back.  

With a non-refundable booking, it is not possible to amend your reservation. With a flexible rate, you can modify your booking free of charge up to 7 days before arrival. For changes to bookings with an arrival date within 7 days, a €25 administration fee will apply. Please note that you will also need to pay any difference in price. We advise you to ensure you have adequate travel insurance 

Only bookings made with a flexible rate can be canceled free of charge up to 48 hours before arrival. For cancellations made within 48 hours of the arrival date, 100% of the booking fee will be charged. For assistance, please contact the reception.
