Basecamp IJmuiden is the Netherlands’ first Tiny House eco-resort, now with 33 Tiny Houses right on the beach.
The perfect place to appreciate nature, enjoy the beach or get inspired. We welcome a wide variety of people; from nature lovers, kite- and wave surfers to digital nomads. With Tiny Offices & Events, Basecamp is the perfect place for companies to host their company offsite, brainstorming sessions or strategy meetings. Guests say our venue has a festival-like vibe. We like to approach our guests informally with lots of personal attention and room for improvisation. Our goal is to develop a global network of eco-resorts and remote Work Hubs. THE JOB
It’s all about creating unforgettable experiences. Together with the meeting & events manager, you are fully responsible for creating a great concept and interesting offer. You will be responsible for the daily operation of three Tiny Offices, the Tiny Bar, the Green House and the Refter. You will be the point of contact for our guests and make sure everything goes according to plan. Basecamp has already welcomed top international companies such as G-Star, Nike, ING and Shell.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creating unforgettable experiences
- Coming up with new community events
- Organising and executing meetings and events
- Creating a blueprint for international roll-out
- Co-creating comprehensive and detailed operational planning to ensure everything runs smoothly
- Arranging and coordinating required services for meetings & events; catering, activities, accommodation, additional staff, AV supplies, etc.
- Liaison with third parties
- Continuous improvement of processes
- Placing F&B orders
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Speaks Dutch and English. Has a friendly and open attitude, showing hospitality. Is a natural host, and motivator and takes the lead in a team environment. Is very flexible and able to work proactively, independently and structured as part of a small team.
Problem-solving skills, time management, ability to multitask, clear communication and a hands-on attitude are great traits in this position. Experience in banqueting, catering and/or events management is beneficial.
